Perdido School recently held its 12th annual “Christmas in Perdido”. More than 30 vendors enjoyed offering various goods for sale, with everything from Christmas wreaths and ornaments, to baked goods, Sentsy products, pottery and authentic coins made into jewelry. Perdido PTO sponsors this event as a fund raiser for various needs at the school. Vendors rent booth space, and all profits are theirs. The school’s Beta Club sold drinks, to support their Christmas projects of helping families in need, and the Perdido Alumni Association had a bake sale to support their scholarship fund. Even the Baldwin County Animal Shelter was involved, raffling both Alabama and Auburn autographed footballs. Of course a highlight for all of the younger children was ‘Breakfast with Santa’. Everyone enjoyed hearing the “Unknown Bluegrass Band” throughout the day.
