Perfect for Halloween! Im currently off resort hanging out at Good Hope Estate, an old plantation home that you can now get married at and which was used as a guest house and B&B until the 1970s. Its distinguished by the fact that the wife of the owner (and daughter in law of the man who built it) was buried in a basement level room. And is still there. It was built in 1755 by the English Colonel Thomas Williams, for his son Thomas Jr. When the son brought his wife over from England, she decided she never wanted to leave. So when she died from malaria in 1762, they did not return her to England as was customary, but instead buried her at the home and never disturbed her after. The subsequent 7 owners have all left her undisturbed as well and she is said to be a friendly ghost who causes no harm!
