Perfecting the Kettlebell Swing, part 3/4 Part 3 - Rhythm and Timing This is where the rubber meats the road! If you can nail down the sequence and timing of the swing, youll find you can do more work (more weight, more reps) with less fatigue because youll be moving your body with efficiency. Dedicate your next 5 kettlebell workouts to focusing on the two cues below: 1. When the kettlebell is at the top position and starts swinging back down, DO NOT BEND FORWARD UNTIL YOUR ARMS REACH YOUR BODY! This requires patience and focus but this sequence will immediately give you more stability and power. 2. When the bell is behind you, thrust your hips forward WHILE THE BELL IS STILL BEHIND YOU. You should feel your hands in contact with your groin when you thrust your hips forward. This will not happen right away so be patient over your next 5 workouts BUT when you connect the dots, youll feel your hips driving the bell as opposed to your arms. https://vimeo/96625656
