Perhaps I could add a bit of my own from after what Rajesh Govindarajulu has written. there was an era of Sugar and Spice where the present day Sugam hotel stands On the DB Road.. we used to get the best Bhel puris and north Indian snacks ..later it converted into Gazeebo and then the present form. Having the snacks there and then walking up to Richie Rich for a lovely Faluda or a cold coffee. My school day evenings were spent in TOP Notch where the present Emperor Travaline stands on Bhasyakarulu Road East RS Puram..the owner used to serve us the best Burgers , samosas and coffee.. Later in the college days when we used to go for a swim in the Chanmaas roof pool we almost always landed up in the Naal-vagai-chutney kadai, the Tiffin house in Edayar Street, where you could never get what you asked for , but the trick was to grab what ever the waiter was bringing. Hot Aapams here were the best recourse for our hungry stomach after the swim. :-)
