Perhaps I need to re-watch Apocalypse Not in order to understand - TopicsExpress

Perhaps I need to re-watch Apocalypse Not in order to understand the hierarchy of evil again. Im confused by the powers Upper Level demons have. I was under the impression that standard demons, lower level, have the ability to throw energy balls. I believe that was consistent in several episodes featuring demons who were easily vanquished without the Power of Three. Then comes a demon like Belthazor who is upper level whose primary abilities are energy balls and shimmering. Again, even with shimmering, it seems that most ordinary demons can do this. Then comes the demons with the fire powers such as fire ball throwing and flaming in and out like the Source can. Are THESE upper level demons? Thats how Ive been differentiating between the upper and lower level demons, by their ability to throw energy or fire attacks. So with demons like Belthazor so called being upper level, how is he different from a demon like Barbas lacky in Sympathy for the Demon who did have fire ball capability, but looked and acted severely weak to be an upper level demon. He didnt even try to take on the Charmed Ones. He kinda just hid out and complained that Barbas was using him for practice. So Im very confused. Am I the only one? Here we see Rodriquez who I believe is the first demon to display energy ball attacks. He was vanquished via Prue sending the ball back to him, so we cant really determine his power level and if he was upper or lower level. Litvack in the second pic was classified as upper level and he has fire attacks. I also understand that as early as season 1, they didnt get around to explaining the hierarchy of evil. But as the show progressed, I was very confused about this. Then there were demons who flame in and out but throw energy balls. O_o??? -Wyatt
