Perhaps Victoria Osteens words may not have been exactly what she had intended to say, one can only hope. However what concerns me even more than her comments was that this may be merely a deeper symptom of what the evangelical church in America has deteriorated into - a self serving, self focused religion that is more about the individuals desires and expectations for happiness and looking for a church that makes them happy, rather than about God the creator, about the life and sacrifice of his son and the transformational impact on those who are his followers.
