Perhaps it is not ONE power calling the shots, but two; one benevolent, one malevolent; perhaps it is the benevolent one that will win in the end: At the end of the day, or in this case the end of the Age (Iron Age, that is), we can take great consolation in knowing that there is only one director of this show and one author of the screenplay. When you truly come to understand this reality, all fear immediately dissipates. There is no more anxiety about what tomorrow may bring; no more concern about today’s unexpected happenings; no more worry regarding past events. If we so choose, we can find much comfort in this longstanding truth: That a much higher power than all the aforementioned worldly powers is REALLY in charge. Truly, there is no more liberating notion than this, given the current state of the world.
