Perhaps like you, I ran away from home when I was 16 in 1965. I thumbed from Alabama to NYC and it changed my life. By the age of 26 I had thumbed enough miles to circle the Earth 5 times. Yes, that many miles and stories from people that gave me lifts. That led me to become a writer, trying to capture the human condition in stories. I would later become the first person in the modern world to walk the 900 mile route of the Cherokee Trail of Tears. I got lucky and Random House bought my resulting book, Walking the Trail, and nominated it for a Pulitzer Prize. It was my first book and has become a Native American classic. If I had not hit the road when I was 16, none of this would have happened. I am now the author of 9 books and I live in both Rome, Italy and in Fort Payne, Alabama. Two Wolves, the book noted here, is Part One of my life on the road. Its a short read, resonating emotional truth, adventure, and a free spirit as I met bigger than life real characters. Thanks for considering this, friends. Peace Out! amazon/WOLVES-Cherokees-Journey-Feed-Sacred-ebook/dp/B00HV1COQ4/ref=sr_1_5?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1417910838&sr=1-5&keywords=jerry+ellis+kindle
