Perhaps nothing stirs up old memories as much as music. It can transport us back in time and remind us of people long-gone, but not forgotten. Thats why book 4 of the Projection Room series (yeah, Im working on it as Im writing this) will start with a song. CHAPTER 1 ... It was a pleasant summer night. Bruce Mallory was in his car as he made the final turn toward home. He punched the radio buttons, trying to find something he wanted to hear, instead of the homogenous music with straining, squeaking teenage-likes voices that were the current top 40 hits. He was mildly frustrated that the gap of time it took to find something he wanted to sit and listen to was widening. He grunted to himself as he considered perhaps it was a sign of growing older, or he was becoming his father. He still could recall his dad, Henry, making a comment about Bruce and Aaron’s taste in music that pretty near reflected his current thoughts.. His hand stopped when a weak AM station came through. There it was, a song he hadn’t heard in ages--“Midnight in Moscow,” by Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. He hadn’t heard that songs in what must have been years. It took him back to a very specific day, long, long ago--a dangerous day when he was just a boy. He pulled into the driveway, but couldn’t turn off the radio and get out of the car until the last note. https://youtube/watch?v=BbrXHMYAz-E
