Perhaps some of you have already seen this video before. I believe it went viral. Watch it again and it will amaze you. That young man was extremely brave and I commend him for standing up for his right to receive an excellent education. As an educator I believe that teaching is not about busy work (passing out work sheets and pamphlets, etc...) Its about collaborative learning; taking time out to listen to every students opinion- regarding any subject matter; respecting one another despite our cultural differences... The ultimate goal as an educator, aside from teaching common core standards, is to raise awareness of how our local communities, states, nations, continents...etc... must continue to work together to create a peaceful environment and to respect ALL cultures.
