Perhaps somebody can help me understand? I get two or three pieces of mail daily from a variety of unions saying that Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner is the next thing to Satan with details about how he wants to take away collective bargaining rights, cut union wages and that he will not honor union contracts if he is elected. Then I read this story (today) that states that the Illinois Appellate Court ruled in favor of union workers and ruled against Gov. Quinn and the state in their attempt to take away collective bargaining, cut union wages and not honor contracts. In short, what the unions are spending millions saying that Rauner will do ... Quinn has already done. Clear as mud ... right?
