Perhaps what we all need is for our walls & ramparts to be broken, shattered, and penetrated. Not by rockets, armies, flags or bombs (all offensive), but by love and beauty and humanity and ecology - that permits no fortifications, that know no borders - and that laughs at our defensiveness - perhaps we need vision and hope and peace that will mercilessly pummel our fight or flight programming until we stand strong without barriers, and admit our vulnerability, our common purpose, and our hearts raging light. Habakkuk 2:1 I will stand at my watch, and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
