Perhaps you saw Ellen on Monday and saw the segment where Chase Utley did a solid and surprised a Phillies fan diagnosed with cancer. Target gave the woman $10,000, and Utley invited her to as many Phillies games as she could get to and all access stuff with the team. Great move, right? Well, not in the eyes of Chris Stigall of WPHT 1210 in Philadelphia (which by the way is the Phillies flagship station)...or at least so it seems. On his morning show that next to no one listens to he...to put it mildly...crapped all over the moment. Sounds like he was doing some sort of good guy/bad guy bit as he changed his voice inflection (again I like 99% of people dont listen to the damn show but as a guy who knows a little about the biz, its a safe assumption), but still whats said is pretty classless. Oh but he said in a character voice, a supporter of his might say. Give me a break. According to his biography, Stigall studied comedy writing and television production as an intern with Late Show with David Letterman in New York. Apparently, he flunked in his studies. May Mr. Stigall never have a family member that contracts a form of cancer. Perhaps its time for WPHT to get rid of the cancer they have in the morning. But maybe Im overreacting. You be the judge. Heres the clip I found from AwfulAnnouncing.
