Permanent opening for Quality Manager- Abu Dhabi (European candidates only) Our client is a leading EPC contractor willing to strengthen Abu Dhabi office. Responsibilities: - Ensures that work on site is implemented in accordance with Project Quality Plan and specified requirements. - Maintains adequate levels of QA/QC personnel on site as a function of the level and type of activities. - Maintains an up to date set of documentation to control Requests for Inspections (RFI): Project specifications, Subcontractors ITP’s, Quality control procedures. - Maintains strong relationships with the client quality representatives on site to report progress and handle inquiries and issues - Promotes a Quality culture on site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards & system. - Facilitates the feedback process throughout the construction phase to ensure capture and communication of lessons learned and best practices related to quality. - Assists in the development and approval of site procedures, QCP’s and ITP’s. - Provides quality training & awareness on quality activities planned on site. - Approves and supervises internal and external audit program on site. - Ensures material receipt and preservation system and surveillance for procured items, in particular feedback to Home Office in case of Over, Short & Damage reports. - Implements an effective, corrective and preventive action system and track closure of NCRs, Field design changes and queries. - Ensures that tools are in place for reporting of Field Engineering KPI and Construction KPI (including Welding & NDE, Mechanical & Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation) - Participates in investigations to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis recommending corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively executed. - Approves procedure for compilation and approval of site quality records and monitors progress and integrity of the file on a regular basis to ensure smooth handover.
