Permission to post Vipin Hello Guys - here is my initial impression of ASUS Zenfone 5 Philippines Variant (Black) Whats in the box? ASUS Unit (Zenfone 5 Black) ASUS Wall Charger (1.35A output) ASUS USB Cable ASUS Earphones w/controls and extra earplugs ASUS Manuals w/ 1 year warranty in ASUS and 1 week replacement (store) Quick Specs: 5-inch HD IPS display, Gorilla Glass 3 - 294 ppi 1.6ghz Dual Core Intel Atom PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU 8gb Internal Storage (4.99gb available) expandable to 64gb thru microsd 2gb RAM 8mp Rear Camera - autofocus, LED flash, PixelMaster (4x Brightness) 2mp Front Camera Non-removable Li-Po 2,110 mAh battery Dual SIM Android 4.3 Jelly Bean planned upgrade to KitKat Pros: No lags on games (Temple Run Oz, Subway Surfers, Need for Speed - Most Wanted, Real Boxing, NBA 2k14 and the Legendary Flappy Bird) HD mode in videos for real High speed browsing (WiFi) Sound is amazing (earphone is perfect - SoundMagic) LED notification Built in RAM Cleaner and Flashlight Feels solid in the hand Lightweight despite of its size Not that expensive Camera (you know why this is in Pros section - ;) ) Cons: Not your typical 5 inch phone (longer than the usual) Non-removable battery No light on BACK, HOME and MENU keys (dont know if this really a cons to you guys) Heating of back plate during HD Games (tolerable) Average battery life (almost 4 hours of totally heavy usage is not recommended nowadays) Random Apps force closing but not the often (hopefully on KK this will be fixed) FYI - your first boot, a FIRMWARE update will ask you, go for it else you cannot open Google Playstore to update the default ASUS apps. And then update again with the 2nd update for battery optimizer. Update will follow.
