Permit--Stage Permit--Grant of--Writ Jurisdiction--Grant of stage carriage permits is primarily a statutory function to be discharged by the RTA exercising powers under Section 72 of the Act and not by the High Court exercising the Constitutional powers under Article 226 or 227 of the Constitution of India--The direction given by the High Court to the RTA to grant regular permits to the private operators is patently illegal--Constitution of India, 1950, Art.226--Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, S.104.; Punjab Roadways Moga through its General Manager v.
