Person A) Bitcoin is a joke. We cant use it as currency because theres a chance a public key could be duplicated! Person B) Theres a 2^160 chance that could happen. Person A) See? I was right! Person B) Theres an estimated 2^62 grains of sand on the earth. Person A) Its not worth the risk! Person B) The estimated size of the observable universe is 4.3x10^26 meters. Since theres a 2^160 chance a key could be duplicated, this means youd have to travel from the Earth to the edge of observable space and back again 2.47 × 10^31 times before a public key could statistically repeat. Person A) Its not worth the risk, I tells ya! Someones gonna get ripped off! Person B) Youre getting ripped off via inflation, wars, debt, bailouts, TARP, and the ever increasing largesse of the State and their respective dependent classes from the financial industry, military industrial complex, waste, boondoggles, pensions, perks, kickbacks, and endless spoils now.
