Person Shaped Support workshop in The Hub - Wednesday 5th Feb 1 - 4pm PSS recruit champions, who go through bespoke training programmes based on each persons interests and skills - be it painting, walking, cooking or simply having a good chat. Working together with a Mi project worker, you will use your own skills and interests to plan, design and deliver actitivites and events for indivuduals experiencing or at risk of social exclusion. The role can also include project setup, volunteer recruitment, management of a team and more specialist skills. This might include managing a walking club, working with families of offenders, gardening, befriending and sharing technology skills. Champions dont just leave with enhanced skills, they also leave with a fantastic variety of work experience and the potential for full time employment - 6 champion roles have progressed into fulltime jobs.
