Personal I was just thinking how we tend to neglect to say what - TopicsExpress

Personal I was just thinking how we tend to neglect to say what is in our heart for our friends, until it is usually too late to tell them. Why do we do that? Well, not me, not today! So here goes, for the record: Thank you for being my friend. I know I can sometimes be a bit hard to handle when single-mindedly pursuing a cause, a mission or an obsession. When I have stumbled, each of you know when and where you helped pick me up. Gods gifts, like friendships, are taken for granted until, sometimes, being taken for granted too long, they are lost. Im sorry if I have done that to you. It has taken me a long time to learn that lesson, so if I hurt you, please forgive me. I love and care for you, and I want you to know it, and feel it, right now. As imperfect and difficult as I am, I know that you are just about as perfect and pleasant a treasure I have. Lets take a few minutes and bask in the warmth. But first, there is shadow to light up. A few of you have broken my heart, and others, by the thousands who feel that same dreadful pain, for the same reason. No matter, I love those who love me, and love those who dont, even more. Some of you knew the family I was from, the boy that I was, the young man I tried to be, or as the years slipped by, the father, the husband, the friend or fellow laborer with the afflicted. For every time we touched, I thank you from my heart. Each know who you are. Each has added a dab of light or shadow to my painting hanging on this wall. Facebook says I have over 1600 friends, and if it is true, I am blessed indeed. For you, all of you, and the many not listed there, I am most grateful. So, my friends, I hope you feel a little less taken for granted, and know that for those close to me, I feel close to you. For those who are not, I hope that we can become so. For those who feel unloved, I hope for much better between us. Why this note now? It feels right, and like the old saying goes, strike while the iron is hot. Thank you God for your love, your light and your friendship to me, and to my friends. Oh! ...and especially to my enemies so that they will no longer be so. May God grant us many years of nurturing and enjoying our friendship together. May God bless you. May God keep you. May God keep you in the hollow of His hand. May God give you rest, and peace, forever. In Him, with you, Stephen Wilcox marriagedivorce
