Personal Notes - To all Haiyan/Yolanda Survivors As we approach - TopicsExpress

Personal Notes - To all Haiyan/Yolanda Survivors As we approach the ONE YEAR mark of that fateful day on November 8, I may be just feeling melancholy or something... but I just want to share with you my thoughts. I THANK the Lord for all of you who SURVIVED the super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda last year. To our loved ones we lost, may they rest in peace :( We will never forget. Most of you were not able to have access to internet for months after that day... but I have witnessed and monitored virtually since DAY 1 of how our own families, friends and relatives, donors and volunteers all over the world were scrambling in panic trying to find loved ones and missing relatives and how we tried our best to secure relief goods to be delivered to the ground zero towns, cities, villages, islands in Eastern Visayas. We even asked total strangers who were going to disaster zones to find our missing loved ones. The so-called privacy was totally abandoned or forgotten in an effort to be able to hear news of loved ones - ALIVE & SAFE were the magic words during those critical few weeks after the typhoon. The memories are still vivid to me even today of how countries around the world have come to help deliver relief goods, medicines, etc. Thank you WORLD indeed! I dont want to make you sad again... I am just counting our BLESSINGS. It was amazing to see photos of kind-hearted people help each other and to see photos of survivors with smile on their faces eventhough they were begging for food and water...
