Personal humility is easy to come by. Most people I know admit - TopicsExpress

Personal humility is easy to come by. Most people I know admit their mistakes and limitations in life. Ideological humility is much rarer. Our causes are often just, and so, it is difficult to admit wrong on even the smallest of matters, or even on the presentation of an issue. To admit ANY unrighteousness as a warrior, to admit ANY justice in the concerns or experiences of our enemies, to admit to ANY wrongdoing by our comrades, or our movements, is often impossible for many who fight for a better world. Such humility is, however, essential. To be open to correction in the details does not betray a cause, it REFINES it. To listen appreciatively to the concerns of our opponents does not sell out a movement it IMPROVES it. To admit to imperfections of belief and knowledge does not weaken activism, it STRENGTHENS it.
