Personal sin has agenda an against you! The sins of others will incovenience you. They will delay your progress and make your life miserable. However, the one sin that carries power to destroy you is your own sin. Our world turns our faces away from our sin. We are compelled to look for circumstances outside of ourselves for all our calamities. Our memorial services put the blame on others, maybe for noble reasons - to avoid sounding judgmental. We are made to appear to have no role in most of the calamities of our lives. However, Gods finger points at the victim of personal sin and not on the supposed instrument of calamity. As long as we turn our faces from the mess that God points at, we are doomed to perpetual defeat. Believers are called to forgive the human element behind the evil. Beware of your own sin! Deal with your own sin. The only sin you can control is yours. God will save you from the sins of others, but only repentance is the escape route from the consequences of your own sin. Whatever sin touches, it curses. Look where Gods finger is pointing at: your sin shall find you out! You overcome sin by obeying what God says. Be wise! Give your sin a Biblical prescription: repent and forsake! Shalom!
