Personality and politics aside I like some of Seagals choreography here. The gun disarm technique is bullshit! But, I love how he uses a body block to deflect a wheel kick. Of course it is a Hollywood wheel kick without proper alignment or extention. It would be much more difficult if not impossible to pull off against any of the members of this group. lol But, it points out that you dont always have to block, counter or even move a lot to defend against an onslaught. I remember I was teaching my class in a Kung Fu School years ago. A tall athletic man had came in and asked to try my class. He was also a 4th degree black belt from a local Wado-Ryu Karate School. At the end of the class he asked to spar me which was ridiculous, but I agreed. We didnt have pads on. He basically turned it into a real fight which I think was his intent from the start. He came at me from my left blind side with everything he had and I flattened him twice by just assuming a forward stance at the right moment. My level of technique was simply better. He rolled off me like water off a ducks back. We were training on concrete (the Kung Fu students wore shoes) so it was pretty devastating to him and he didnt understand how I was doing it. youtu.be/nO1FfhuXHgI
