Perspective is powerful. I woke up this morning still very tearful missing my kitty, a family member is very very ill in the hospital and may not pull out of it, my lower back is killing me today, Im way behind on stuff this week, my house is a complete mess, and I just had my debit card shut off for fraudulent charges posted in Georgia. Its so easy to sit here and think Im really having a crappy day, week, or whatever, but perspective has put me in my place once again. I could be finding out that a lifelong friend has just died unexpectedly in her sleep, or struggling to get word on how a very sick father is doing in a hospital in another country, or mourning the loss of a child from a drug overdose, or mourning the loss of several family members over the course of a year, or going through surgery and treatments for cancer...or etc. None of that makes my hurts and pain go away, or lessen my frustration, but it DOES make me grateful that I have the blessings that I do, and that I have the support system necessary to handle anything that comes my way. Hug your loved ones today, and count your many blessings, even if you have to look for them.
