Perthshire property bosses have described property sales for the first three quarters of the year as ‘heartening’. Latest statistics from Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre show that 712 properties have been sold by PSPC’s member firms during the first nine months of the year, achieving a total of over £118M, ahead of the same period last year. The average price achieved was £166,162. Anne Begg, Manager, PSPC said, “As we enter October, we are pleased to report our statistics for the first three quarters of the year. Overall, the first nine months of 2014 have been ahead of 2013, which is really heartening. The third quarter – July, August and September – saw a slight dip in activity, echoing the property market nationally, but we are happy to have sold over £118M worth of homes so far this year, with the average property selling for slightly more than this time last year.” And, despite the Autumnal weather kicking in, Mrs Begg is keen to remind people that it is not too late to complete a sale before the onset of Winter. She continued, “Despite the predictable dip which we have experienced of late, 2014 has been a good year for property sales and there is plenty time left in which to showcase your property before the cold, dark nights set in. We very much hope that this year’s stability continues until the year is out, and beyond.” For more information on buying or selling in Perthshire, please call Anne Begg, PSPC Manager on 01738 635301, email [email protected] or visit pspc.co.uk.
