Perusing my yearbooks from yesteryear (63,64,65(senior year) I had - TopicsExpress

Perusing my yearbooks from yesteryear (63,64,65(senior year) I had to admit to myself that my kids were right on that long ago day when they said, upon looking thru them, that it looked like I went to a special school. Of course I had the decency NOT to be embarrassed....I have saved THAT for the 60s and 70s. Oh, not so much the bell bottoms, which I sitll like, or the shag haircuts, which I often sport even today, or the hippy-dippy attitudes of my compatriots who ran away to Haight-Ashbury to pretend they were broke and cool (but who also knew that at any time they could go straight away back home to the burbs and mommy/daddy, unlike the REAL impoverished), the aviator smoked glasses (that I still wear), all of that. What really makes me blush furiously and want to hide under the sofa are some of the movies: Easy Rider (how many times can Dennis Hopper say Man?) or (especially) Billy Jack for obvious reasons. To soothe myself, I googled some actors from my favorites, like Paul LeMat from American Graffiti, and even Tom Loughlin from Billy Jack, to see what was up with them. I wish I hadnt. What 40 years can do to the hottest actor is obscene. I wanted to cry. At the risk of sounding self righteous, I will say this: my 45th class reunion was proof positive that at least the class of 65 aged well! You better believe it!
