Pet Peeves! I was just reading an article about global warming. Now I have always followed the science about global warming and I believe it will challenge the humans on the planet for many years and might even be too late to help them from becoming extinct---Im not particularly attached to if humans become extinct or not---I will most likely live my life expectancy and global warming will not be the actual cause of my death--but I do think about the children that are kids now--and their children and I feel pain for the possible challenges they will face---then I have to ask myself if there is something I could do now that might impact in a positive way the effects of global warming on those children in the future. Well, what I am left with when I look at this issue is that we can not fix global warming until we fix the socio-economical ways of our society---capitalism has got to go--its capitalism that makes us so wary of what is reported as science---why would anyone not believe global warming was a real threat--what on earth are the people who are having children NOW thinking about those childrens future? Dont they care about how hard it will be to live on this planet---they would care if they could trust the science---but science is reported to us by a media that is paid for and possibly (alright probably--alright definitely) corrupt by the pursuit of power/money----we have been lied to by every entity in our existence---we are lied to all day by commercials on TV---manipulative with false information all flooded into our brains--and we know were being lied to---and we accept it----we know its part of capitalism---the best lier wins! PLEASE consider and read about a resource based natural law economy----we CAN (well it has not been proven yet) create a society and an economic system that supports and educates many more people then capitalism does--its not in capitalisms best interest to support and educate the people of this planet---its a system whos time has gone---we have new technology now that could enable and empower the vast majority of earths inhabitants to enjoy a better life--not just the 1%--- I LOVE THE VENUS PROJECT --its not a utopia---its just some interesting ideas that really really might work!!! Almost anything would seem better then capitalism! thevenusproject
