Pet peeve time: when you are talking the Theory of Evolution, individual organisms do not evolve, nor do they adapt. We as individuals will not adapt to climate change. We will survive or not, and I dont think our individual fitness will matter much (except for people like me with chronic illnesses and allergies, who are pretty much screwed) when compared with the scope of the changes happening around us. I believe that climate change is probably going to be such a huge shift in our environment(s), those that managed to collect a sufficient amount of money to shelter themselves from the initial impact will find that the traits of cut-throat market competition and short-sightedness will serve them very poorly in the days that follow. So if Im so pessimistic about my fate, why does this matter to me? Because it will be important for those who survive to think clearly. Edited for clarity and correctness cause thats better than sticking to poor phrasing.
