Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, father of Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyongo was in town this week visiting the National Museum of African Art as the Smithsonian Folklife Festival celebrates his country of Kenya. During his visit he toured several exhibitions with Director Johnnetta Betsch Cole and Deputy Director Christine Mullen Kreamer together with the Eliot Elisofon Photographic Archives. He is due to attend the museums Africa Underground Kenya on the Mall celebration on Saturday.
