Peter in this text represents Me...I feared utter chaos because I couldnt control it...I heard other religions or atheists talk about things that I felt I had to disprove...So like Peter I deemed it necessary to rebuke what God was doing in order to save people from confusion...(even as I write this status I fear confusion)...because clearly God is not in control (or so I thought)....but then I read this text again...Jesus was telling an inevitable truth but rather than trusting what Jesus says Peter believes that the chaos amongst the disciples was not of God...Jesus then has to REBUKE the very rock upon which His church was built...just before this Peter was used by God to reveal a spiritual mystery...now here he is rebuked...was Gods spirit different between these two situations...nope...to peter one just FELT easier to accept...Again Peter represents me...this idea of chaos in the church scares me...really it does...and HONESTLY I fear receiving the label of a false witness...for saying things like this...but comfortablity is what was killing ME...so uncomfortable I will be...I talk about seeking God a lot but I tell you the truth this journey of mine requires faith...Anywho...#GodCanHandleTheChaos...#CauseISureCant..#Faith... #DontFearGodIsWithYa...#IRebukedGodThenGotPutInMyPlace...#TrustYouOnlyGod...#ForeverSeekingHim---> Mark 8:30-33 MSG Jesus warned them to keep it quiet, not to breathe a word of it to anyone. He then began explaining things to them: “It is necessary that the Son of Man proceed to an ordeal of suffering, be tried and found guilty by the elders, high priests, and religion scholars, be killed, and after three days rise up alive.” He said this simply and clearly so they couldn’t miss it. But Peter grabbed him in protest. Turning and seeing his disciples wavering, wondering what to believe, Jesus confronted Peter. “Peter, get out of my way! Satan, get lost! You have no idea how God works.”
