Petersfield Lions Club launches it’s Winter Fuel Campaign “Let’s wipe out fuel poverty” To find out full details and how to donate, go to our web site petersfieldlions.org.uk It’s the government handout many pensioners say they don’t want or need but there is a way to put that money to good use in Petersfield this winter. Petersfield Lions club has linked up with the towns Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in a bid to wipe out fuel poverty in the town this winter – a campaign being packed by the Petersfield Post. People who receive the winter fuel payment, which will range from £100 to £300 this winter, will be able to donate some or all of that money to Petersfield residents who can’t afford to heat their homes properly. The initial target of the campaign is to raise £5000 which the Lions Club will pass on to the Petersfield CAB to distribute to those who need the funds for fuel bills.
