Peterson gone; Greenway sits out with wrist: EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Two of the Minnesota Vikings most prominent players -- linebacker Chad Greenway and running back Adrian Peterson -- were scheduled to miss most or all of practice on Wednesday.Peterson was away from the team on Wednesday because of a personal matter, coach Mike Zimmer said. The coach added that he was going to back Chad Greenway down on Wednesday because the linebacker is dealing with a little wrist issue.Greenway, who sprained his right wrist last season and later broke it in two spots, had an X-ray and a MRI that showed no serious issue, Zimmer said, but the coach didnt want to risk irritating the injury further.
