Petey had a night fright last night. At about 2 a.m. he suddenly started thrashing about in his sleep cage next to my bed. So I turned on the light and spoke quietly to him until he calmed down enough for me to open the cage door (otherwise he might have flown into a window or something). Then he ran up my arm to my shoulder, pressed himself into my neck under my ear, and would NOT budge from there. I rubbed his beak and his head gently and spoke quietly to him for TWO HOURS before I could persuade him to go back into his sleep cage. And even then he didnt really want to go back. Poor baby. We were both very tired this morning - LOL!
