Petition to the Prosecutor of Aruba to persecute ms Leoncita Arends due to her defamatory and incitement to violence against my person during her morning radio -programming on the 7th of October 2014. Dear madame, sir, In the morning of October the 7th 2014 during her radio-programming, ms. Leoncita Arends made different remarks about my person that I considered to be untrue and very defamatory and to be an incitement to violence against my person. The same day, in the afternoon I went to a bakery store; a lady that knows me and who has obviously listened to those defamatory words and incitement to violence against my person came up to me and started to insult me with the same words ms Leoncita Arends used during her morning radio-programming.The same evening I went to give my condolences to my family with the passing away of a family-member I was very ill treated due to the defamatory remarks and incitement to violence against my person by ms Leoncita Arends during her morning radio- programming. On Facebook a very coward anonymous post that I am a whore of Betico Croes with pictures has been created under the name of: Den Bo kara tuma. All this happened because of the defamatory remarks and the incitement to violence against my person by ms Leoncita Arends. As a radio journalist the words she used can have further reach than she intended to convey and she can also be held responsible for these situations her words have caused; even unintentionally. As a human rights lawyer working on a small island the impact of these defamatory remarks and incitement to violence against my person can have a devastating effect on my functioning as a human rights defender. Ms Leoncita Arends is a spokesperson for the Government of Prime Minister Mike Eman and the Prime Minister Mike Eman can be indirectly held responsible for any damages either personal and professional I will encounter in the near future while doing my work as a human rights defender; the only one in Aruba. In lieu of the above I would like you to consider to start a penal investigation into this defamation and incitement to violence against my person by ms Leoncita Arends and to put a halt to the post of the anonymous Facebook-account: Den bo kara tuma calling me a whore while the only thing I have done in the past (1983) for the late Betico Croes was publicly defending him after he was shot by police and by organizing a manifestation where 5.0000 persons attended on the 25th of July 1983; while conducting personal deliberations with the Dutch Government about the shooting on the Winston field on the 24th of April 1983. That this letter is written in English and not in the customary Dutch that you are used to receive my letters and petitions has to do with the fact that in the case something bad will happen to me due to the defamatory and incitement to violence against my person by ms Leoncita Arends; in lieu to the fact that the words of a radio journalist has a further reach than just spreading the information around; she can also be held responsible for situations her words unintentionally has caused and as I have informed you earlier, I have instructed my only son to immediately send an e-mail to the Rapporteur for Human Rights Defenders at the United Nations to report if an incident did happen to me.
