Petrobras signs contracts to build modules of FPSOs P-74 and P-76 Petrobras (NYSE:PBR,NYSE:PBR.A) signs contracts to build modules of FPSOs P-74 and P-76Petrobras signed, on Thursday (11), two contracts for the construction of modules of the production and processing of oil and gas plant and integration (installation of modules on the hulls) of two units. Contracts are referring to FPSO (floating units that produce, store and transfer oil and gas) P-74 and P-76, for the fields transferred under the Onerous Transfer of Rights Agreement, in the pre-salt layer of Santos Basin. The contract signing of the FPSO P-74 was held at the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (FIERGS), with the presence of the governor Tarso Genro, the president of Petrobras, Maria das Graças Silva Foster, and directors of Financial and Investor Relations, Almir Barbassa, Exploration and Production, José Miranda Formigli, Supply, José Carlos Cosenza, Gas and Energy, Alcides Santoro and Engineering, Technology and Materials, José Antonio de Figueiredo. The contract signing of the FPSO P-76 occurred in Building Torre Almirante in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of Petrobras executives. The contracts contain clauses of local content (contracting of domestic equipment and services), ranging from 65% to 71%. For the construction of the modules on platforms, the contracts provide an index of local content of 65% in construction and assembly services, 65% in services of detailed engineering, 65% in services management and 71% for the supply of materials . The service installation and integration of the modules in the hull will also have local content of 65%.The construction and integration of modules of FPSO P-74 and P-76 FPSO will generate about 4,500 direct and indirect jobs in the regions of São José do Norte (state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) and Pontal do Paraná (state of Paraná, Brazil), locations of shipyards of EBR and TECHINT-Technip, which will perform the integration services. The total contract period will be 42 months. The production of the first oil from the P-74 is scheduled for the second half of 2016 and the P-76 into the second half of 2017.The FPSO P-74 will be the first concluded platform for the exploration of pre-salt fields under the Onerous Transfer of Rights Agreement, and P-76, the third. Each platform will have the capacity to produce up to 150,000 barrels / day and compress 7 million of cubic meters of natural gas / day and should operate in the fields of Franco 1 field (P-74) and Franco Sul field (P-76), into pre-salt layer of Santos Basin.
