Petrol Shortage: - The main reason for shortage of petrol is unexpected increase of 25% in petrol consumption in Pakistan in a month along with CNG closure in northern Pakistan - Shortage is expected to finish in 4-5 days as 3 ships are reaching Pakistan on 18th - The news about Rs. 200 Billion dept on PSO is not relative as PSO does around Rs. 1,200 Billion of business every year and 200B is normal payment debt at all times - Pakistan is the only country in the world that has passed the highest relief through reduction in petrol/diesel prices to consumers. All other countries like US, European countries and even India have passed low relief to consumers. Fuel prices are going to go further down at end of this month. - Petrol shortage didnt happen first time. Petrol was also short in winter 2012/2013 and huge lines were observed in Islamabad and other cities.
