RUDY fils de Mr et Mme George Rudy de Bellingham (anciennement Eau-Clair) état de Washington est né en 1920, il avait un frère Wesley et une soeur Edith Il a fréquenté les écoles publiques en Eau-Clair Bellingham et après 4 années d’études secondaires a été diplôme en 1939 à l’age de 19 ans. Il a ensuite travaillé dans le civil à l’emballage, l’étiquetage, le marquage, la mise en bouteille et diverses professions connexes. Il s’est engagé le 05 mars 1942 à LEWIS FT WASHINGTON dans l’armée régulière, pour la durée de la guerre + 6 mois, à la discrétion du président ou autre, conformément a la loi. Private First Class LEO R. RUDY, est un vétéran de 5 grandes batailles, il est arrivé en mai 1942 en Europe et a combattu en Sicile, Italie, Normandie, Hollande, Belgique et en Allemagne. Il a été tué le 11 février 1945 aux environs du village de Schmidt (Allemagne). Il a été inhumer le 13 février 1945 temporairement dans la tombe # 30-5-97 au cimetière provisoire (1944-1949) de Henri – Chapelle, a ce jour il repose maintenant dans la tombe Plot : D Rangée : 11 Tombe 7 . Il a été décoré de la BRONZE STAR et de la PURPLE HEART WITH OAK LEAF CLUSTER. Il n’était pas marié et laissait outre ses parents,une sœur EDITH , sa grand-mère Ellen Rudy ,son grand père Jacob Rudy tous domicilié route 4 Eau-Clair , un oncle Walter Rudy et un frère Wesley (bud) qui était dans la marine des Etats- Unis et stationné à Pearl Harbor « Il est venu avec tant d’autres , fier de se battre pour notre délivrance ,il est tombé pour nous, ne le laissons pas dans l’indifférence » A sa mémoire Timmermans Claude Pfc LEO R .
