PhD student = P-erpetual h-arassment & D-istress s-itting t-hrough u-nending d-angerous e-gos & n-oxious t-hreats from a colleague who survived a PhD, ... but honestly, I dont mind the egos at BHU. Everyone here moves slow, and that is so much less violent (a la Thomas Merton) than what I saw at Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Harvard, Cornell, Chicago, .... where everyone guns everyone else down.... Here we sit, sip gallons of tea over hours, and learn. Here, people who move fast are threatening, but people who are smart are appreciated. And, we have some VERY smart people here, so I am surrounding myself with them, only.... especially if they have A/C in their office...!
