Phew! Back home and about to fall in to bed but not before I say a huge thank you to everyone of the people I met at this years woolfeis, old friends current friends and new friends...Thursday produces market was a wonderful busy fun filled place to be. The seaview campsite was as brilliant clean and welcoming as always and the new showers are really super! Friday saw us in the hall and wow how busy and warm was the atmosphere all day with classes going on in the top room.. Drop spindles with Susan of snath... ( what an inspiring spinner and dear gentle lady), felted fairies, gnomes and gorgeousness with Laryna E. Wuppermann, stunning and one day I really will get a chance to try needle felting!... Sally Weaser was across the way from me and the gorgeous buttons she enabled her students to create were stunning and I am so pleased that I have seen 3 new spinners on their way. A pleasure Victoria, Susan and Hazel, I hope to see you all again very soon dont forget you are always welcome. The afternoon saw me in the main hall and part of the sharing skills fun.... Gosh what a hall of talented and giving people. Friday evening saw me tired but so entertained by a talk on Bedouin weaving... Stunning and I also got to dress up and even make some cord with the help of my toes! Lol what fun though I did have to resort to using a chair to help e reach my feet lol.... Friday night back to campsite late and I just fell into bed...poor rob didnt get any company at all ... Saturday was the big selling day and wow that hall was a riot of colour and temptation..... In all wool feis was everything you could want in a woolfestival, it was filled with fluffy goodness, laughter friendship learning and sharing and most importantly making and developing friendship... Thank you to all who do what they do and especially to Liz and Graeme, Jill and Tim and Audrey and Alan (Ian tom dick or Harry ;) ) the work it takes jsut on the days is phenomenal and I can only imagine how much before and afterwards! Well done I loved every minute. I also met a couple of lovely German ladies who I hope to meet again next year to have a go with their espinner! And one inspirational mum who camped next to us all weekend with five children in a bongo with an awning.... I spent a wee time with her this morning as she mentioned she was no thinking her drop spindling was going well... She was doing amazingly especially as her fibre wasnt really easy to spin, but with only a few minutes time she was going strong... And I am sure another stunning spinner is going to emerge? Thank you mhari my earrings are gorgeous... And well one off topic lovely thing was I learnt that I actually like some tea.... Usually my tea is very weak and very milky but then I met Rebecca and her hubby and went to a tea tasting evening at the campsite and I loved one or two and liked most of the the wonderful Sri Lankan teas I tasted from Rebeccas company... Thank you everyone again.... I look forward to next year already but think I might need a day or two to recover first lol
