Phew! What a trip! Back home in Las Vegas safe and sound after an absolutely harrowing trip through the Rockies in a winter weather advisory/watch/warning without snow tires, chains or front wheel drive. We watched other cars slide off the road and one even stopped on a steep incline right in front of me to change drivers! Yikes! Thank goodness for my mom and our many guardian angels who watched over us and kept us on the road and safe (I still love my Solara convertible/Vegas-mobile - even if it isnt designed for Colorado winters...) And thank goodness that once we got as far as Vail on I-70, the snow plows came out and gave us one skinny lane to drive in! Made it back in time to see Louis Prima Jr and the Witnesses tonight at Red Rock Casino. And Im looking forward to my bands private gig for NYE (beats going to the Strip!) Happy New Year to all my FB buddies and friends...LOVE YA! :)
