Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc Centennial Celebration. 1914 - 2014 #pbs100 is now officially over in DC for me. Heading back with a renewed spirit, a rested body, and a blue flame that will likely scorch anyone in our way. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime. My wife came along and she was very impressed (shes a Delta...so that is saying something). My youngest son danced in the hallways of the host hotel, stepped and party hopped with the bros, went to the stepshow, and even too pics with a few fine Zetas. Gotta watch him...hes only 7. I saw my mother and the rest of presidents wives to and thru many of the venues as an unofficial security guard. Even watched as they were honored for thier husbands work. It is always sweet to be around them. They know so much more than you would ever imagine. I saw esteemed dignitaries, music and television icons, legendary politicians, history making men, young bros chanting all day long, older bros singing the hymn with a the reverence of Sunday Morning Service, and even saw my dads name etched in stone on the Sigma Monument on Howard Universitys famous Valley. Tearfully it was My personal crowning moment. I missed some old friends of which I apologize for(Rob, Drea, most of my chapter), I met some new ones of which I am grateful for, stuck shoulder to shoulder with my Road Warrior Line Bros as the Four Horsemen handled DC like pros, looked shocked as my personal growth mentor was sitting with my mother for dinner at the Orchid Ball and I looked impressive in a white dinner jacket and wingtip shoes. My youngest son now has a future Sigma hat...I pray my oldest can help to reactivate the chapter at Bethany College and one day wear my ring. And I promise my fraternity that one day we will hear my last name again. This has been one of the...if not THE most inspirational functions I have been to. There is truly something special going on in Phi Beta Sigma. Signed, #UncleMoe.
