Philadelphia Electric Company, Exelon Energy...You say you care..."Peco cares...Yeah right!!!! Good Day Philadelphia 6abc Action News, I would love to know how a company like PECO can withhold their services after payment was made. 72 hours to restore service in this heat is so very unacceptable. My daughter suffers from asthma and allergies and I have High Blood Pressure...Sleeping last night has been so NOT enjoyable. For the last 5 years I have been either unemployed or under employed. But there has been a steady stream of payments made, and when they were late there was the late charge included. Yesterday, Friday, 6/28/2013 at about 11:30 am my electric was shut off by PECO $141 and some change was the "Past Due balance" so to restore service there was an additional $75.00 charge, $216 and some change was taken from my account and so they say that 24 to 72 hours power will be restored...How can they make customers wait this long...In this heat with medical conditions in the household???!!! I was lied to over the phone by the PECO representative saying that all PECO trucks do not have radios in them and they cant be dispatched back to the residence...That is a BOLD FACE LIE...How do they find out about gas emergencies or electrical emergencies...I am a volunteer firefighter / EMT and I know that if we request help it is there with their standard answer of "Within the hour"...How did they get notified???!!! The bill is paid...WHERE IS MY POWER?????
