Philippians 1:15-18 NASB ~ Apostle Paul and Flamboyant TV Preachers: Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Apostle Paul said that while in Prison, which in those days was dungeons where no one wanted to be. Dungeons where flood waters flowed with raw sewage, rotting garbage, rodents, insects... anyone who gets worked up over prosperity preachers, westboro whacks and so on... WHY? They are NOT the majority. 70% of churches in America are SMALL-Medium size! This is not a made up number by me, a pastor who is traveling around USA/Canada, and the world did the research, presented this information along with the Message the Holy Spirit is telling many: a New Wave of the Holy Spirit is arriving. Yes, there is a great divide happening with the True Gospel, and those wanting ear~tickling doctrines, but the True Gospel is still Alive and Well in the USA (since I am from the USA, and most tv evangelists are from USA, focusing on here) ... you realize most missionaries are from USA, funded by the Body of Christ in America? So, please, do not waste energy worrying about flamboyant tv preachers. Focus on the mission of the community around you. There are those I dont like, or uncertain of... I pray for them! There are some that people point out as false, but I know people who use their material, and there is definitely FRUIT! One amazing Fruit is someone who was an atheist in a country where Jesus name is not allowed to be spoken, with the missionaries who serve needs in this country, by their living and praying in the world that they live, this person one day asked on their own if God is real, to show them. He did. This persons life CHANGED! I met this person. I never met ANYONE who radiated Jesus so brightly! Like the story of old, the darker it is, the smallest light glows the brightest! So lets stop being Noisy Gongs, instead Pray, Live it, and Love as Jesus loved. You be the difference! Yes, there are times for judgements, corrections, and so on... but unless we are personally in their lives, not a whole lot we can do about it. Let God do the door opening or closing. rj
