This is a scripture Marilyn Hickey spoke over me in 1980. I love this promise that says Jesus will never give up on me and continues to work daily in my life! Friday I got to go for my wellness check. Instead of asking how I was feeling the doctor ask me what are you doing for fun? I think she ask me that last year too. Teasing I said back to her I am so busy I dont have time for fun. It got me to thinking however what does fun mean to me. I am sure everyones idea of fun is different so what really is mine. As I thought upon this topic some things come to mind. Gathering with my brothers and sister and laughing over old times remembered. Giggling over simple things with my daughter and granddaughter while watching my granddaughters silly antics. Watching my grandson being a clown.The cruise I took with my husband for our 40th anniversary. Spending time with my children and their mates as well as friends. I enjoy watching Bull riding events. These are some of the things I place under my topic I call my fun. One of my greatest enjoyment of fun comes when I am ministering Gods Word. I confess I get concerned about what to teach and then afterward what I should have said and didnt or did say that I shouldnt. I am sure Jesus laughs at me a lot! My doctor was really saying to me in so many words your health will stay fine as long as you chose lay everything aside for fun every so often. Laughter does a heart good like a medicine. When was the last time you had fun and laughter?
