Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Conceit is defined as: excessive pride in oneself. synonyms: vanity, narcissism, conceitedness, egotism, self-admiration, self-regard How do we raise our children in a society that promotes pride and self-value to put their own self-interest behind others. Its so easy to say, I am a good person and I care about others but do you really care enough to help someone if it means you must sacrifice your own pride, comfort or something of value?
