Philippine seafood exporters fare well in Japan [10 September 2013] Five Philippine seafood processing companies booked sales worth more than USD 4.36 million at the 15th Japan International Seafood and Technology Expo held from August 21-23in Tokyo. The firms include PhilFresh Corp, BlueFin Seafood Export Inc, Nuevo Fresco Marine Trading Corp, D & L Seafoods and FRI Seafood Trading. Agriculture Assistant Secretary Salvador Salacup, who headed the delegation from the Philippines, said that the participating companies are all compliant with the EU’s food safety requirements, thus is it is no surprise that Japan accepted these products.
