Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers controlled the ball for much of their Monday Night Football matchup against the Indianapolis Colts; thus keeping Colts quarterback Andrew Luck off the field for all but 21 minutes as the Chargers beat the Colts 19-9. Rivers passed for 237 yards and a touchdown while kicker Nick Novak made four field goals in the game. Running back Ryan Mathews also contributed to the Chargers attack. The former Fresno State star had 102 yards rushing on 22 carries. Keenan Allen caught nine passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
