Phillip de Wet is still holding his breath! Now thats entertaining. Please, as you yourself have clearly pointed out, the DA outmaneuvered the ANC in every conceivable way and yes, much of it came from proper planning, inclusive of the decisive point where it would call off the fuss! The courtroom in the morning was the clear indicator. For the DA to have got the ANC running like a headless chicken all day Wednesday was certainly without luck inconsistent with the planning that went to this charade. I am not for a second pleased with the risk to life the DA posed on its members and supporters on the day, but (with human waste having been ball play not so long in the Western Cape government offices and other public spaces), now that the DA chose to play the ANC game, it is admirable that it played a dirty game all by the rules (at least observing the laws of the country) while getting the ANC to break every single one of them! Of course, the ANC could have handled the matter differently altogether by letting the DA marchers walk in, hand in their petition and get lost!! That it acted in any way different, as it did, is now history! As for your call for the DA to quit while still ahead, I have yet to watch a professional boxer calling off a fight for a national title and walking out of the ring in the middle of the fight because it is ahead on points! Take a deep breath Philllip, we are all in this together and yes, it is fun to watch!
