Philosopher Modi and his golden speech ! His Excellency Indian PM Narendra Modis brilliant, stimulating and pulsating speech addressed to the members of Constituent Assembly at International Convention Center, Kathmandu this afternoon was historic phenomenon, a titanic force and pathfinder that set a new milestone in the history of Nepal-India friendship and relations. Every word in his speech contained a built-in fragrance of love, affection and compassion with full appreciation of Nepal and Nepali people that traversed all barriers to attain a new height in further strengthening age-old ties between the two sovereign nations. He openly applauded the contribution of Nepali soldiers who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the sovereignty of India in each war. Emphasizing the significance of overarching goal for formulating a pragmatic constitution to institutionalize Federal Democratic Order, PM Modi made a clarion call to the all lawmakers to have a mind-set of Rishi/Yogi to deliver the best constitution ensuring prosperity of future generation coupled with national unity and integration of Nepal. He emphatically and frequently reiterated the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal and warmly appreciated Nepals recent efforts to move towards Buddha/shanti from yuddha/kranti for providing a unique constitution to the world likely to be commenced in January 2015. During his exhilarating speech PM Modi succinctly explained the potential of Nepals tourism, herbal products (biodiversity), hydropower and organic farming and expressed his firm commitment to working together with Nepal in these areas. In his speech he robustly enveloped a wide spectrum of various brand of cooperation such as construction of Mahakali bridge, purchase of surplus electricity from Nepal in future and supply of additional electricity to Nepal in recent years, extending concessional credit facility equal to US$ 1 billion and sharing advantage of space satellite technology in education and health sectors in the SAARC region. Earlier both PM Modi and Nepals premier Sushil Koirala witnessed the signing ceremony of four MOU including setting-up of Pancheshwar Project Authority. The present visit of Indias incumbent PM Modi to Nepal is extremely invaluable for both countries that has certainly opened up a series of new vista of cooperation between the countries. PM Modi is, indeed, not only a very popular leader in the contemporary world but also a pragmatic philosopher executive-chief of largest democracy and a great human being who is so kind and instrumental to reunite his adopted Nepali son Jeet Bahadur with his family in Kathmandu today.
