Philosophical Food for Thought: I am a fan of fairytale revisionism... for me it is a lesson in what we philosophy students call Epistemology and which is also very applicable to real life: There are always two sides to every story, and while were apt to believe the story given to us, is our belief actually justified? What is the other side of the story? What if maybe what you heard and been told isnt true? What if the villain was actually a failed hero? If you could see these stories through the villains eyes and not the victors (as historians remind us that history is written by) or by the Authorities (as Plato warned us against) how would your perspective change? Especially in this new digital age, dont believe everything you see or hear... sometimes a story is simply that: a story meant to influence a perception of reality rather than inform concerning an actuality. (Class dismissed).
